An Opinion On “Michael B. Mukasey: What Does the Detroit Bomber Know?”
February 20th, 2012 by admin
Charles — your comment is just idiotic. Mukasey, who was the judge who handled the trial of one of the Islamic terrorists (oh, sorry, I meant poverty-stricken free lawyer advicedom fighters instead) who bombed the WTC in 1993, is not apologizing for Bush. He is giving a coherent statement about why giving an enemy combatant access to a lawyer, who advises him to keep quiet, is stupid. He never mentioned waterboarding. Now please explain how we can get better information from him when he has a lawyer who is advising him to keep his mouth shut?
BTW, please explain this disconnect: if Obama and the CIA knew that this Islamic terrorist was plotting a major strike in Afghanistan or Pakistan, he could easily order a predator drone strike to kill him, and anyone else in the vicinity. No arrest, no Miranda rights, no lawyer. So why is it that when this guy, who is not an American citizen or resident, gets captured instead, he now has all these rights?
