You would seriously never think that as an owner and operator of an art studio, that you will ever have a need to perform a background check on any of your associates. But unfortunately for my blindness, I was treated to a reality check from the real world. A student in the art school had done an la inmate search on one of my employees, and I was floored so much so, that I was inclined to hand her her pink slip, while I showed her to the door. She was caught stealing and I had to also press charges, as well.
