If we ask a thing that you really find annoying during your daily routine, what would it be? We believe that one of the most common answers will be the losing keys all the time. Here is our first secret: do not look at the same places repeatedly you already know that those keys are not there.
You believe that you put them on the table or over the counter, but you cannot find them. Or you are sure that they are in your bag, but when you arrive at your door, it becomes impossible to find it in that black hole.
Misplacing keys or forgetting their spot is quite common. So here in this article, we provide some tips and tricks to avoid, or at least, reduce the occurrence of lost and found keys.
First, stay calm and keep searching
Most of us get angry and panicked and start acting in hurry and carelessly. We go through the same places and run around the house. On the contrary, what an individual needs to do is searching calmly and section by section to scan every part of your home. Do not run around. Search your home room by room and spot by spot.
Try to remember your previous action steps
When you face with a lost and found item problem, try to remember your steps. Re-live the scenes when you leave your office or enter your home. Go over them, touch the same places, or sit on the same couch to see if you notice something different.
Look carefully in the messy spots
The human eye can be easily tricked. You should have experienced at least once when you searched a document on your PC desktop but cannot see its name even it is middle of the screen. Our eyes become tired and tricked quickly. Therefore, search messy and scattered places. If you lost and found keys were already in a visible place, you wouldn’t be searching for them, right?
Take some preventive measures
Forgetting is totally normal. In today’s crazy fast-paced modern life, it is even more acceptable. That is why now there are innovative solutions in the market for lost and found belongings. To increase the return rate of missing personal belongings, specially designed ID tags, stickers and cards are beneficial and easy to use tools nowadays.
These tags include our company website info, call-center line, and the unique code assigned for the item that is associated with your contact information. But your personal details are only visible to us. We offer certain rewards to the finders if they return lost and found objects safely and write down this promise on our tags and stickers. This approach significantly increases the returning missing items.
Using ID tags sticked to your keys and for a bunch of other personal items will be a preventive measure before living a real lost and found item crises. This simple solution will not cost you a significant amount or consume your time. This is a one-shot action to take which will have life-long benefits.
Everyone thinks they will be able to remember the spot where they left their small belongings like keys. But we all know that it does not work like that. Rather than just wishing someone to return your keys or finding them on the same spot on the next morning miraculously, start looking for a solution that will serve as a backup.
When I was a child, I was involved in a bad car accident that left my on a wheelchair for almost a year. It was a tough experience, everything seemed hard, and the hardest bit had to still actually come: once my body recovered, because I had not moved for so many months, I had to start the rehabilitation process which I perceived as a nightmare. Everything hurt, even the simpler gesture was a painful, difficult task, and I had the feeling I would never be able to be “normal” again. After a few months I was beginning to give up on myself, I was spiralling into darkness, and in that moment my parents decided I needed help. Buddy arrived home a few days later and if I became a professional surfer it is because of him. It has been pure love for his whole life, which came to and end after fifteen years together. The day I lost my dog I lost a part of me which I will never recover. But I also lost and found myself: in fact, I was in fact a new person, someone different that was aware of what love meant. I am incredibly grateful to that little creature. I know that he changed me for the better. While losing Buddy was maybe the worst experience of my life, it was very important for my growth.…
You only need to enter a shop a month before school begins to realise that buying backpacks for school to your children will not be the easy task you had in mind until that moment, something like “get in, buy, get out”. It is going to take more of your time, and with reason. So, you’d better sit down and begin your search for information on the internet – and remember to keep calm.
Backpacks for school are truly key items in your child’s set because they can lead to health issues. Which issues? Well, shoulder and back problems, wrong posture, headaches. And these problems may not develop or be fastidious while your child grows up, or even during his first adulthood, but manifest themselves in his late life causing a great deal of pain. In addition, it could take a while to your doctor to relate these problems to a wrong posture caused by backpacks for school meaning you may be diagnosed correctly only after some time.
It is wise to buy a quality product. After all, why getting something inexpensive that will most certainly begin to fall apart after a few months of usage? Is it not better anyway to invest in something that lasts long? Good backpacks for school can accompany your child for several years – on top of guaranteeing their health. What makes a backpack a quality one, are a few things:
the material used (better if waterproof)
the accuracy of the sewing work
the shoulder straps that should be broad enough, nicely padded and ergonomic
the back that should be padded too
there should be various pockets and compartments, and the bag should be spacious enough
the size should be appropriate to the child’s size
in case of younger children, it would be best if they come with inbuilt wheels and handle. (These backpacks for school are the best ones to avoid putting pressure on the children’s backs, they are easily carried around and you can buy them bigger.)
Once you have checked all the above criteria, you should consider involving your child in the choice of their bag, design-wise: it is going to be theirs, so they should be present at the purchase and they should have their say. Leaving them out could reveal a big mistake and cause unnecessary unhappiness. On the contrary, including them in the whole process will surely be productive for their growth and your relationship.…
This is an article about a lifetime spent sitting. It is meant as a reflection on life in modern times, for many individuals in Occidental societies, at least. The office chair is the element that says it all: it is where you do it, where you sit.
When did this become normality? How long ago? I can’t remember of a world in which people used to stand most of their time, it feels normal to be seated (or even lying down) as the default position. Standing or moving (walking, running, hiking, cycling) are actions, therefore, performed when you need to do something, go somewhere. If you don’t do, if you don’t need to go, you sit. Or lie. So many of us complain about their bodies, without even noticing that is not normal that we don’t have well developed muscles all over our body. We do have muscles for a reason, if they are not developed then something must have gone wrong. Why is an athletic body reserved to professional athletes only?
The office chair is the seat. The seat millions of people use every day, eight hours a day, for forty long years of their lives. It is an extremely comfortable piece of furniture – in case you have never sat on a good quality office chair, you may want to try it, paradise compared a common chair. It is so comfortable that too often we forget that we should stand up, every now and then, to go for a walk, to make blood circulate better in our veins and arteries. It is terribly sad to have reached a point in the development of societies where the norm sees men sitting most of time. I wish there were more outings, more nature-involving activities, more freedom to roam.
In is also interesting how a good number of people aim at an office job when they study. Not many will choose farming as a career, for example. But, isn’t being able to farm a more useful skill than being able to deal with paperwork or something similar, done in an office? When did we lose our connection with Earth and what is real? – real, as in “connected to the real world, outside there”.
The office chair is just a symbol, in this case. I have nothing against the office chair. I actually have a great one, which I love. I can literally sit on it the whole day and I have no problems at all: my back is perfectly fine, so are my neck and my shoulders. But as a symbol, the office chair is the proof that we need something so good to sit on, because we do have to sit most of our awake time. And this saddens me. I would like with this article to have you all reflect on our lifestyles because I think we need to reconnect with our natural selves.
